“Snow flakes drifting to the ground, the bighorn rams are coming down” pretty much says it all. We won’t have any bighorn rams here, but we will be seeing snow flakes and probably are deer herd again in the morning.

Christmas Moose
“On a cold December night a single star shone bright and all the world was hushed when Jesus came.” We didn’t find the bull moose when we were in the Park on Sunday. Dan and Cindy Hartman took this beautiful picture of the bull moose and then Robert took a picture of the picture with [...]

A special thanks to Toni, Cheryl, Ina and Tom for helping us out yesterday. If you visit Silver Gate, MT be sure and stop at Stop The Car Trading Post and get a great cup of coffee, a fantastic sandwich, or a cup of soup. They are open year round to help meet your needs [...]
Over the river and through the woods…
No, we’re not going to Grandmother’s house!! But, we will be crossing a river – the Yellowstone – and we will be going through the woods – there are lots of woods in Yellowstone National Park. We certainly aren’t going in a one horse open sleigh but rather a Jeep Compass that is red so [...]
Safe and Warm
The temperatures may be a little chilly and the winds may be a little strong, but our house is safe and warm as Ruff is here to show you. He loves the warmth of all the sunshine we get in the living room and the family room and loves the way the sunshine warms his [...]
Happy Belated Birthday Jessica
Yesterday was great niece Jessica’s birthday. I’m sure she was well celebrated by lots of family and friends. Hope you had a wonderful day and didn’t eat too much turkey. Don’t forget that Christmas is about giving, NOT getting. And, that doesn’t mean something you go out on Black Friday and buy. Give of yourself [...]

This big old turkey won’t be on anyone’s table, but is out enjoying the beautiful fall like weather we are having for the Thanksgiving weekend. Did you know that Benjamin Franklin wanted the turkey to be our national [...]

Unfortunately because they are experiencing some problems with their service provider, they have not been able to update the information for some time. Therefore, [...]
Bighorn Rams
Our friends, Dan and Cindy Hartman, were coming through the Park last week and came across these bighorn rams in the canyon about a mile south of the Yellowstone’s north entrance in Gardiner, MT. This is an area of the Park where they have been doing studies on the bighorns. You’ll see signs posted but [...]
