Yesterday Grandma Dora spotted this belted kingfisher out by Bucky Beaver’s home on Fleishman Creek here in Livingston. When we looked it up in our bird book, we found that these birds seldom cross the Mexican border so we don’t know why it was here – 1,000 miles north of its usual habitat. It sure was keeping a keen eye on the creek looking for a fish!
