Here where the mountains meet the prairie on the big bend of the Yellowstone River (called Elk River by Native Americans), we are a bit dry but continue to be extremely green with delightfully cool temperatures. Wish you were here!!
This baby elk picture was taken last year. We think Momma had gone down to the river for a drink and told him to stay put. He was right next to the road on a little traveled dirt road in the park.
